THUMB PRINT TREE (KIDS DIY)
AGE GROUP: 7- 10 year old
Hello there everyone, Our Crafting Thursday is here, In this blog i am gonna tell you how to make a thumb print tree with your kids step by step, with all the reference images
MATERIALS REQUIRED:
A4 cardstock ( white/off-white)
Green poster paint and a thick paint brush (no.08)
A4 card stock white
Pencil
Eraser
Colour Pencils/ Markers
Let's begin with the Step no.1:
Draw a rough sketch of tree with your child, so he/she gets to know you are also involved.
STEP NO.2: Put green paint on your child's thumb with the help of thick paint brush.
STEP NO.3: Allow your child to explore his/her thumb prints over hand drawn tree.
STEP NO.4: Draw few fruits, as I have made some apples, with help of kids in my class.
STEP No.5: Now let your kids colour around the fruits, and outline them with marker, as well as colour the tree trunk brown to complete the picture with a natural look.
HAVE LOOK AT THE OUTCOMES:
BENEFITS OF THE ACTIVITY:
- Kids learn about the textures nature have given within them, while they stamp their thumbs to create illusion of leaves
- Parents can frame the thumb prints in form of a painting and place them on the wall as a painting, kids will love the appreciation.
