Hello there everyone, Crafting Thursday is back after soon long!some work kept me busy and made me miss so much on my craft blog! As the session is almost ending at your child's school, and you guys are planing to buy new materials for kids, I decided to review brand Deer! Last Friday I got so me amazing art supplies in my mail from "Deer" It's a Pakistani stationary brand, they are made in Pakistan.

So starting my art supply review blog with a list of products I am going to review from my mail!

ABOUT THE BRAND:

Deer is a Sub brand of Indus Pencils Pakistan (Pvt)ltd, the brand was established in 1954. They are the largest exporters of school and office stationary in Pakistan. The products they are easy to grip and environment friendly. The products are Xylene/ Toulene Free with low odour inks. The markers are suppose to dry instantly according to the brand. They have clearly mentioned the age group which are perfectly able to use these products, for this buyers are advised to look up at the back of the pack!

PRODUCT REVIEW:

Starting from Jumbo crayons!

The pack consist 12 Colour crayons. The swatches can be seen below, there are Five cool and six warm colour in the pack the 12th colour is Black! From the swatches you can guys can get an idea about the stroke and shades of the crayons. These are super soft to handle. I would suggest the parents of toddlers to get these as initial supplies, as toddlers are suppose to learn the sense of grip, and jumbo crayons works the best in that case.

Next are Round Tip Markers!

Round tip makers come in four different shades, starting from black, they have green, red and blue, above are the swatches for round tip markers. These markers contain low odour ink, which is actually great, while you work on huge projects. The odour makes you feel bit uncomfortable sometimes. These markers have good grip, the tip is soft and they write perfect. Links are not double shaded, green looks green while you write. This is perfect for marking headings, and also suitable for office supplies. For the buyer I would suggest to look up at the back of the Pack for the suitable age group. Each box contain 12 markers of 20Rs Each! These are non toxic products so this is perfect for kids. Note: These are permanent markers, and should be advised for strict monitoring while kids work on. 

After Round Tip Markers, I have Chisel Tip Markers for review

Chisel Tip Markers are used for Calligraphic writings mostly, We have Urdu as major subject in schools here in Pakistan. These markers are very useful for marking headings in Urdu writeups. These are also madeup of low odour ink!, the tip is soft and has an amazing grip. Each box contain 12 markers of Rs 20. This is a must buy for kids in Secondary level at school. Swatches are given below. Shades are same as we have in Round Tip markers, So there is no confusion in choosing colours.

Note: These are permanent markers, and should be advised for strict monitoring while kids work on. 

Last up for review is Apple Water Colours,

Above are the swatches of Apple water colours, the box comes in with 12 shades, all are neutral shades, as in paints we can mix and match. This set is amazing for beginners, almost every other kid in my class carries these in Art blocks. They are stroke free, a No.4 brush is pre given in the box. Kids are ready to explore the world of water colours, I would suggest you guys to grab this set for your kids in summer breaks and let them explore, and create wonders.

Hello there everyone! It's Wednesday already, seems like half of the week has been passed. Summers are already on the peak since a week in Karachi. I hope you guys are taking safety measures to beat the heat. Please keep your self hydrated by drinking lots of water. I feel honoured to write this blog on 35th year celebration of Depilex Beauty Clinic and Institute.

Last Saturday, I went to Depilex at their Bahdurabad Branch, And had a privilege to talk and understand about the brand Masarrat Misbah Makeup. I was welcomed by an amazing Reception staff, after that Hafsa Haseeb the Incharge of Depliex Bhadurabad branch, provided me all the information I was looking for my Review blog.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

Masarrat Misbah Makeup is a first Halal Pakistani makeup brand, which is made in Turkey under the best dermatologist, upon asking What was the purpose behind the creation of the brand? Hafsa replied: We wanted to create a Halal Makeup brand for Pakistani Women, which suits their complexion as well as easy to carry. We selected all magical ingredients to create a perfect Pakistani brand, Which includes Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Shea Butter. 

She further added! Applying Makeup is not at all radical to "Gora hoga Pakistan"

It took us year to change the mindset of our clients and MashaAllah we have a large number of clients who come to us and ask everything about the brand and we welcome them and answer every query! The vision of Masarrat Misbah reflects the brand, this is her determination which led us to create a perfect brand which has everything a Pakistani Woman wants in her Make-up inventory.

CATALOGUE AND PRODUCT REVIEW:

The catalogue is beautifully designed by the  Masarrat Misbah Makeup team, On the first page we have a Silk Foundation range.

As you guys can see in the picture, shade range starts from the lightest, to middle tones and the darkest. The Silk foundation has an amazing converge, and it's their best seller. This is a friend for every working women, a light weight travel friendly product. They applied Nude on my face while I had my makeover done at the parlour. It has an amazing coverage, stays for hours, and just one layers does it all, So by this you can say Bye bye to you T.V paint stick and say hello to a hygenic formula. Price for the product is 1.450Rs, which is very economical as compared to the brands we import.

Next in the Catalogue we have Silk Pressed Powder range.

Again it goes from the lightest to the darkest, as I have a fair skin, Medium Beige worked so well on me during the makeover, the texture is not very harsh, its a powdery compact, again travel friendly and the quantity is amazing! Worth a buy product. Easy application and very economical, this costed around 950Rs.

Next in the row is Stay on Blusher.

This is a blush range by the brand, it has almost every shade which is suitable for every skin type and tone, as I love baked blushes, they have three shades in the category, I feel in love with the baked blushes in the first look. The shade "Illuminous" is somewhere near to "Nars Orgasm". These blushes are super pigmented. For the contouring freaks, they have contour Palette in the pipeline, so finger crossed for that! These cost somewhere around 850 to 950 Rs.

Next we have Lip Varnish,

These are the glossy lipsticks in general terms, these lipsticks are pigmented, vitamin A, E and shea butter are the major contents of these lipsticks. These are hygenic and Halal. The best in the row is Iconic Red. Which I am applying on daily basis on the way to my work, and goes well for hours, these are sold for 750Rs which is fairly economical as compared to other brands.

On the next page we have Long Lasting Lipsticks,

These are the matte lipsticks, for those who want their lipsticks to last forever, This is a thumbs up for you guys, Worth buy for working women. For those who thinks matte lipsticks are dry, here is a tip, " Apply moisturiser right before the lip-colour application, a balm and lip primer can also works well in this case." These are 850Rs each

Next in the row are Liquid Lipsticks,

The concept behind liquid lipsticks was to create a products which compliments, both lip varnish and long lasting lipsticks, we can mix and match these, they smell amazing and the coverage is highly pigmented, each shade is made for every skin tone type, depends upon how much we are able to experiment with these shade. Lip gloss costs 680Rs and the Liquid lipsticks are for 1,100Rs.

On the next page, we have Eye Varnish,

 there are amazing shades in the row, Starts from Neons to Highlighters and the darkest to give that smoky eye effect, These are 470Rs each, these can be applied as eye liners with a wet brush, as they dont sell Kajal's due to Led content, one can create an illusion of kohl with the darker shades,

Last but not the least on the catalogue,Masarrat Misbah Makeup has liquid Eye Liner and Mascara Range as a eye Enhancer, 

Both products have super soft tips, the eye-liners contrast each other in terms of shade, they are travel friendly, with and air tight technology, which prevent them to dry. The Mascara has two categories. one The Volumizer, which is use to give a gentle lift to lashes, and the other is Lash Enhancer, best product to Volume thin lashes. Eye liner cost 550Rs and Lash Enhancers are 820Rs each.

MAKEOVER REVIEW:

On the visit I was given an amazing Makeover by Nighat Misbah herself, I felt so lucky as she is the most experienced expert around, she guided me with all essential make-up techniques, I am so grateful to her, as her kind gesture was so informative for a makeup lover like me. Hafsa along her Makeup team tried to make my Saloon experience beautiful with all the humble gestures.

The products used in the makeover are, Nude as foundation, Medium beige for compact coverage, Patent Pink as a blusher, for eyes Velvet night was used as the darkest shade and Velvet Mocha for the lightest, for highlighter Velvet Sun was used. For lips Nighat Misbah used Fushia Rouge. 

I am glad to be invited and had an amazing make-over for Daytime.

Saloon has been divided into sections, as per the work, all I noticed were the well maintained hygiene conditions for the clients, seats and tools were properly placed. Makeup section has amazing mirror dimension, which are helpful for both the artist and the client during the makeover. Reception Desk was well maintained. Smile again Foundation my Masarrat Misbah was also in working there, which made me feel so proud to live in the country where we have women like Masarrat Misbah who stood up for these victims and helped them every way possible. Kapoor And Sons Since 1921

Hello there everyone! It's Sunday and the last day of the week. Today I took an off from all the happening Around me and decided to watch a new Bollywood release Kapoor and Sons! at Cinepax (city auditorium) Karachi.So here is the review for all my readers, who missed out the movie by any chance or for the ones who are planing to watch the movie, review is not all about the cinema experience, for that I will another blog series. To make it simple I have divided the blog into three parts.

1. MAKERS
2. TALKING ABOUT THE CAST
3. WATCH IT OR NOT

MAKERS:

Kapoor and sons is made under the banner of Dharma Productions, Sakun Batra is the director of the movie, he has directed Ek main or Ek tu for Dharma Productions lately. Writer of the movie is again Sakun Batra him self with Ayesha Devitre Dhillon. The movie is distributed by Fox Star Studios globally.

TALKING ABOUT THE CAST:

Starring Kapoor and sons we have Legendary Rishi kapoor who plays the role of Dada Jee (Grandfather) many of you may not have recognised him due to his get up! Rajat Kapoor, the famous actor from the famous comedy movie Bejha Fry, is stared as the Father of Pakistani Actor Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra in the movie Kapoor and Sons, whereas Ratna Pathak plays the mother role. To make a love triangle type famous Bollywood Script Alia bhat is there against Fawad Khan and Sidharth Malhotra. According to Bollywood criteria the cast has been given a A*. The highlight of the movie for every Pakistani is undoubtedly Fawad Khan, this is his second release as a Guest Star in India. Alia Bhat and Sidharth are seen together again under the same Dharma banner after their debute together in Student of the year.

WATCH IT OR NOT:

In my opinion its a Thumbs up for Kapoor and sons! as Dharma productions is Famous for their Family Drama, this is a new addition to this category, the movie is doing amazing on the box office already. As the movie revolves around every character so beautifully which hold the viewer on the seat till the end. For the ones who thinks Family drama is all about crying in the end, Yes you are right! but you will find the end very precise and perfect according to the plot of the movie. For the ones who think brotherly movies are always about Younger brother getting lesser attention then Elder one, you are absolutely right! you will witness this but the message in the end did justice to the complete Bollywood family drama. For the ones who thinks the movie will be so likely to Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum you are WRONG! family dramas are not always the same, for the genre writers may repeat something but that what happens in every family. Movie has so essence of comdey and it suits the plot, so here is another thumbs to the write who balanced the movie so well. All the actors did thier best, Rishi Kapoor is the hightlight of the movie for me, his presence is nostalgic for sure. Talking about the music, I am glad there are limited songs, which relates the situation overall. So in the end I would suggest everyone to go and watch it in the nearest cinema ASAP! with all your family members and enjoy to the fullest, please take your grand parents along they might love it, as the plot revolves around the feeling of having a Grand Parent as the head of the family.

LAUNCHING MY OWN FOOD VENTURE

HASHMI'S

Hello there everyone, as blogging has become my everything these days, I choose my own blog to Launch my food venture. Hashmi's is a home made food venture, currently serving frozen food and savoury items. 

The reason behind this home made food venture is to provide hygienic food with taste, I have started with limited items on my menu card and will gradually add on items on the menu. Hashmi's has already started taking orders on a famous social media group Sheops, which is an amazing platform for setting up home based business. Sheops was formerly known as Her market place, it is an Idea of Nida Patel and is been executed 24*7 on her group by home based business like the Hashmi's. 

Hashmi's is currently popular for home made nuggets and Pizza donuts, By the grace of God I am able to meet order deadlines, prompt deliveries and Good taste. While all the drama on television being shown for food quality by bigger and well established brands, I was worried what will I provide my son! Alhamudillah I tried my level best to create Chicken nuggets, as per the pre conceived taste client have in their minds, even what I expected them to be for my son! I am currently serving my brand in Karachi on pre-order basis and mode of payment is Cash on delivery, which is very convenient! I would like to thank my Husband "Syed Moiez Hussain Hashmi" for believing in me! and being my best food critic! your support is always needed!

The Body Shop Spring / Summer Sale!

Hello there everyone. The week is just begun, I hope your Monday is going great so far. For this week I have amazing things in pipeline. For last week I want to thank you guys for an amazing response on Gul Khan Truck Art blog, your appreciation means a lot. Now for this blog, as everybody know there was a Sale happening at The Body Shop, today is the last day of sale. I am going to review the Sale it self and the products I managed to grab.

For a overall review of the sale I am dividing this blog into two parts:

• SALE REVIEW
• PRODUCT PURCHASE

SALE REVIEW:

It's been 3 years that I am runing after these season sales, and this was the best one. Prices and discount distribution were amazing, and very clear. There are separate portions for each percent! Starting from 20% it is upto 70%, although yesterday was a second last day, there was nothing left in 70% section. This was the first time when I saw some really good ranges of mists in 50% off even, There was Italian fig, White musk and so on in those sections too. For body butters and creams they were already sold out, I saw coconut range on the 50% section only, rest were in 35% and those were only few. As compare to last sale, there was a separate portion for body butters and creams they have in those jars and it was easy to select one. Lip primers and balms were also in 35% sale. I saw their face powders and eye shadow range in 50% section, I wasn't sure about the shade range, as there was only one Try Me, so I suppose there was only one shade in 50% sale. Now coming on to lip and cheeks, I saw blushes too, and tried some, the range they have is amazing but the sale was only 20%, the highlight was Lip and cheek tint, but it doesn't suit my skin tone, So I didn't opt to buy that. For the first time there was Insta Blur in 50% and this is something great, as one can take on trail in such sales, Over all staff was trying to manage the space well, so we should give them a thumbs up, and I want to appreciate them for making it better this time.

PRODUCT PURCHASE:

The other product I got my hands on is The Red Musk Fragrance Mist, I was looking forward to buy this in sale! as they offer great discounts on mists and this becomes pocket friendly in the end, The fragrance is very fresh, opposite to the fruit and flowery fragrances The body shop usually offers. The Red must actually stands out, and I have been using Shea and white musk, this one is something new to try on! It has a sharp impact while you put it on. It's a must have, completely different from the organic image of The Body Shop.

PAKISTAN KI SHAN! Gul Khan!

            

Hello there everyone, the most awaited Review plus interview Blog is finally here! Last week while surfing on Facebook, I saw this page Gul Khan Truck Art! The very first look of the page made me go GAGA on it! What an amazing representation of Pakistan it was, I decided to do an interview of Gul khan, and contacted the owner Gul Khan truck art, the owner is so humble she agreed immediately to answer every question of mine, She was busy for her Exhibition still she managed efficiently and provided me with all the information regarding her venture.  

 Truck art is a very intricate form of art, not everyone can become a pro at once. Details and concentration make the outcome of truck art beautiful, Trust truck art is much more than Maa ki Dua jannat ki hawa, the amazing calligraphic patterns and poems make it unique, It's a desi version of Pop Art. South Asia is a hub of Truck artists, you will find them every where. With in these three to four years truck art has taken place in your Fashion industry as well as Home textile industry, before all this we only use to see them on buses, rickshaws and other local means of transports. This is actually commendable that in a very short span truck art has made it's own place. Fortunately this will help our local painters, who really work hard to fetch money on daily basis. 

Happiness is! we still have people who wants to show the real side of Pakistan in terms of arts and crafts. We still have people who actually want Pakistan to reach some level, and this is the time, we can build our image in a positive way! Me and Gul khan! had an amazing convo! I asked so many questions and the owner managed to answer all of them! Starting from the name, Gul Khan! I asked the owner to Describe Gul khan! 

"Gul khan is Pakistan ki shan! says the owner, It's about a happy common Pakistani who loves his country,and take pride in the culture and heritage of Pakistan.

Can you tell me who is the person behind the concept Gul khan?

Gul khan is a visionary Child of a Happy couple Ali Gul and Saima Ali, and what make the it more beautiful is our three old son Amaan Ali,  we have artists, Graphic Designer and Social Media experts in our team. 

Further in our conversation we talked about Truck art masters in Pakistan? Who inspired them for the venture ?

"Our source of inspiration is every artist who has  painted any bus,rickshaw,truck,tanker,walls or any corner in our country with love and pride." 

Gul khan is an amazing Concept according to me! Do you think He is able to survive in Pakistan Fashion market? 

"Off course ,Gul Khan has won the hearts of many Pakistanis and Non-Pakistanis with its unique and creative products. Gul khan is constantly engaged in innovating new products and has succeeded so far in amusing its fans with new variety of truck art products. 

Being a Gul khan fan!  I asked her, What products do you think are the highlights of your brand? 

It's like you name it we have it, every products is a highlight. They have a whole range of home decoration material, to Fashion accessories as well as kitchen accessories. 

     Khussas/ chappals and calligraphic cushions are my personal favourites though. 

At the end of our conversation! finally i asked, What is the biggest dream of Gul Khan?  

"We are patriotic and proud Pakistanis. We take absolute pride in our vibrant and colourful culture and tradition which unfortunately has been bedim by our so called "terrorist" image internationally,hence Gul khan is a little effort on our part to represent true and happy colons of Pakistan around the globe." 

I hope they are able to fulfil every dream, and make us proud on every achievement.
